IDEAL STEEL

What’s the softest steel we’ve ever used to make an Iron? S15C, which makes ZXi7 7% softer. ZXi5 and ZXiU face plates are also 14% softer. And ZXi4 now features the softer SUS17-47 for its body material.

CONDENSED FORGING*

Using softer steels enhances ZXi feel. But strength matters, too. To deliver both, we use Condensed Forging. Here’s how it works:

The hydraulic dies which forge red-hot billets into ZXi Irons imprint an array of raised features onto each rough Iron shape. A second forge condenses those protrusions back into the clubhead, placing strength in those precise locations without sacrificing overall feel.

HEAT SOFTENING

Because Condensed Forging adds localized strength right where we need it, we have the freedom to re-optimize the temperature of our heat-treating ovens and produce our softest treatments yet.

TECHNOLOGY

i-FORGED

Condensed Forging stretching from the high-toe area and along the topline of the Iron blade enhances overall strength, durability, and feel. Then the forged faces on ZXiU are softened to improve this already exceptional feel. Added tungsten weighting perfects CG placement for ideal performance.

MAINFRAME

MainFrame saves additional weight and adds more MOI through an enhanced network of milled channels on the back side of the Iron face. At impact, this system amplifies ball speed and adds forgiveness.

TOUR V.T. SOLE

For the first time ever, we’ve included Tour V.T. Sole on all ZXiU Utility Irons. This proprietary combination of sole widths, bounce angles, and notches encourages a smooth glide through the turf without losing speed.

UTILITY IRON SHAPE

Our widest soles, combined with minimal offset and an appealing look at address, makes our forgiving, hollow ZXiU Utility long Irons professional favorites.

Please indicate which Model for each iron, Steel or Graphite Shaft, and Flex you would like. ZXi Irons are carefully designed with combination sets in mind. Address profiles and topline thicknesses are as consistent as possible, set to set. Place varying degrees of workability, forgiveness, or launch angle into the long, mid, or short Irons of your preference.

This combination is the most popular with our professional tour staff. It pairs extremely forgiving long Irons with highly workable short Irons. ZXiU Utilities are available in 2i-4i and are a preferred substitute for traditional long Irons.
